About WBS TRAINING A.G.With more than 1.000 employees WBS TRAINING AG (WBS) operates more than 160 training centres all over Germany. WBS provides vocational education and training for adults promoted by public national authorities, but also business training for companies and European training projects. The range of topics is very wide: from ICT trainings (e.g. SAP, AutoCAD) to management trainings, from automation and renewable energies to health and social care. Therefore, WBS TRAINNIG AG is one of the most important independent vocational training and service providers in Germany. WBS has a wide and active network – it cooperates with about 1.700 freelance trainers and works together with many companies, which are important partners for the organisation of the WBS’ learners’ internships. Since 2011, WBS also makes use of the opportunities of web-based learning for a wide range of courses. The WBS training centre Dresden North, for example, offers about 50 different training topics in various professions. Currently about 100 participants attend these courses in Dresden. WBS has more than 10 years of experience in hosting European mobility projects with so far more than 3.000 happy participants. Over the years, WBS has completed more than 200 mobility projects. Most of the mobility projects were hosted by the WBS training centre in Dresden. The European project team in Dresden has acquired a high level of expertise in implementation of mobility projects. It has good contacts to suppliers of accommodation and catering as well as to cultural institutions in the region. This will ensure smooth and high quality implementation of all future mobility projects. In the field of health and social care, WBS offers the following training courses: health care assistance, attendance for dementia patients, health care management and bookkeeping, quality management in health and social care institutions. Moreover, the associated vocational schools of “WBS TRAINING Schulen gGmbH” provide initial vocational training for the professions geriatric nurse, social care assistant, nursery teachers and many more. In the field of European mobility projects, WBS has introduced new health care training courses in recent years: Several VET learner groups have already successfully attended courses in “First Aid” and “Care for patients with diabetes”. Study visits to hospitals, nursing homes, health care VET schools and other health care institutions have completed the training programmes. Since 2015, WBS Dresden is coordinator of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership “care4mobility: Promoting the Efficiency of VET Learner Mobilities in health and social care professions by implementing ECVET”, which further improves and assures high-quality implementation of VET learner mobilities, especially in the health and social care field.
